Not only does the IC-M25 float when dropped into water, but the LCD screen, key backlights on the front panel flash, and a red LED light flashes on the rear panel for easy spotting at night . The IC-M25 also floats when the optional HM-213 microphone is attached.

11 hours of battery life

The built-in 1500mAh lithium-ion battery allows a battery life of 11 hours (approximately).

USB charging

The IC-M25 is equipped with a standard USB Micro-B connector and can be recharged with the supplied AC adapter, BC-217, in 3 hours (approximately). Most third-party USB chargers (max 5V/1A) such as cigarette lighters or battery banks for charging smartphones, tablets or digital cameras can be used with the IC-M25.

HM-213 Speaker Microphone

The optional waterproof speaker microphone, the HM-213, provides commercial-grade convenience when mounting the radio around the waist. The radio floats even when the HM-213 is attached.

550mW audio output and 5W output power

The IC-M25EURO offers powerful audio output of 550mW (typical) which makes the received voice loud and clear. Selectable output power of 1W or 5W enables short and long range communications.
